About this experience
Let the fun AND learning begin on a field trip to The Children's Museum of the Upstate!
Field trips at TCMU invite children and chaperones to learn, explore, play and discover through free play and exploration of TCMU's 21 museum exhibits. Your class can learn about the STEM concepts in golf through Geo's Golf, sort and count fruit and vegetables in Publix, learn about the water cycle on the Reedy River water tables and connect with the Greenville community in Constructing Community–plus, SO much more!
Field trips also offer the opportunity to add educational programming add-on's in a classroom setting, such as Story Time & More, Open Art and steamWORKS. The base field trip option includes:
- Reduced admission
- Welcome video and letter
- Unlimited free play and exploration at TCMU-Greenville
- Opportunity to eat lunch on site or purchase food from the TCMU Café
- Opportunity to add educational programming activities facilitated by TCMU staff in classroom setting
Field trip groups must include 15 individuals or more to qualify for field trip pricing. Chaperones MUST meet the required ratio of 1 chaperone for every 5 children. If required chaperone ratio is not met, a convenience fee will be incurred on arrival that reflects 25% of your field trip cost. If there are more than 8 children per each adult, admission into the museum will not be permitted for your group. Up to 10 adults beyond the 1:5 ratio are free of charge. Adults past the allotted 10 must pay to enter the museum.
Please Note: We do not offer our special added programming (steamWORKS, Story Time and More, or Open Art) for summer field trips. Programming will resume during the next school year.
