About this experience

Let the fun AND learning begin on a field trip to The Children's Museum of the Upstate!

Field trips at TCMU invite children and chaperones to learn, explore, play and discover through free play and exploration of TCMU's 21 museum exhibits. Your class can learn about the STEM concepts in golf through Geo's Golf, sort and count fruit and vegetables in Publix, learn about the water cycle on the Reedy River water tables and connect with the Greenville community in Constructing Community–plus, SO much more!

The base field trip option includes:

  • Reduced admission

  • Welcome video and letter

  • Unlimited free play and exploration at TCMU-Greenville

  • Opportunity to eat lunch on site or purchase food from the TCMU Café

Field trip groups must include 15 individuals or more to qualify for field trip pricing.

The ratio of students to adults REQUIRED is 5:1. Due to safety concerns, we maintain a strict ratio of 5 children to 1 chaperone within the museum. If the ratio is not met and there are not enough chaperones, your group will not be permitted entrance.

If you have not paid, please note that your payment is due at least 2 weeks in advance of your trip to secure your rate. If we do not receive payment by the aforementioned time frame, those in attendance (adults and children) will be charged full price at admissions and space in the Café will be first come, first serve. Please check your spam/junk folder for ‘Shopify Invoice’ to make your payment online!

Any additional children or adults, beyond the pre-booked quantity, will be charged full admission price.

The cafe can be reserved for the following lunch times: 11:00am, 11:45am, and 12:30pm. Reservations are first come, first serve and the time requested needs to be indicated in your booking if your group would like to have lunch on-site.

Please Note: We do not offer TCMU STEAM Classes for summer field trips.  Programming will resume during the next school year.
